Advaith International Academy in Hosur, Tamil Nadu—a premier CBSE-affiliated co-educational institution founded in 2012—hosts its annual Sports Day as a vibrant two-day extravaganza. Known for its strong emphasis on holistic development, including professional sports training in disciplines like football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, Tennis and more. With over 11 dedicated coaches and a track record of national-level achievements, Advaith continues to nurture student-athletes who balance academics with competitive prowess. The Sports Day highlights teamwork, resilience, and fun, team spirit from over 3100 students across KG to Grade XII, along with parents and faculty.
Sports is Life
Athletics in schools play a crucial role in fostering physical fitness, sportsmanship, leadership, unity, and a competitive spirit among students. Events like the Annual Sports Day at Advaith International Academy in Hosur provide a platform for students to showcase these qualities and receive recognition, motivating them further. Athletics also offer career and relationship opportunities, with some students pursuing professional sports or benefiting from scholarships and lifelong friendships. School pride is enhanced through sports, fostering a positive environment and camaraderie among students. Athletics motivate students academically and help them avoid trouble, teaching essential life skills such as effort, determination, self-discipline, teamwork, and time management. These skills are invaluable for their future personal and professional lives. Students of Airavata, Ashva, Nandi and Simha houses compete in Tennis, Football, Basketball, Volleyball besides Athletics. Advaith takes advantage in absorbing and recruiting the top players for the School team prepared for the Nationals.
The two-day format allows for a structured buildup, blending ceremonial pomp, artistic flair, competitive intensity, and community engagement. The first day is scheduled for Capital Campus students and the Primary Campus students on the following day. Here's a breakdown of the key moments:

Flag-Hoisting Ceremony
The event commenced with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony led by the School Principal and student leaders, symbolizing unity and national pride. Along with the Indian Flag, the School Flag, Olympic Flag, and House Flags, the flags were hoisted before the march past. The ceremony set an inspiring tone, accompanied by the National Anthem and a moment of silence for reflection.
March-Past
Students of the Secondary and Senior Secondary classes display discipline and coordination as the Advaith School, Hosur Captain leads our student march-past delegation of 1,650 students. Each house has three contingents of 330 students marching in formation, led by five House Captains. This is the largest march-past formation representation in Hosur / Krishnagiri district. Each contingent carries banners representing their house colours, marching to patriotic tunes—a nod to military precision and school spirit.
Olympic Torch
The Olympic Torch is carried by eight of our most successful students who have represented the school and achieved distinction at the national level. These national-level sports students inspire younger students as they run with pride and humility. Our torch bearers are motivated to bring greater glory to their school.
Athletics Event Finals
The core of the competition unfold with finals in track and field events, including sprints, relays and long-distances. Over 720 students compete, with houses vying for top spots. Professional timing equipment and coaching ensured fair play, echoing AIA's commitment to preparing athletes for higher levels.
Medal Distributions
In a grand finale, 2,740 medals were awarded across athletics Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Football and Basketball. Gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with certificates, celebrate not just winners but also participants for effort and sportsmanship. Special trophies are crowned for Individual Championship and the Houses with maximum points.
Parents' Games
To foster family bonds, parents join light-hearted relays, tug-of-war, and fun races. This segment add laughter and inclusivity, reinforcing AIA's belief in community-driven growth.
